Brother to Brother—It’s Time to Man Up
There’s an all-out attack on manhood today. The world is trying to redefine what it means to be a man, and in the process, godly men are being pushed aside, silenced, and stripped of their authority. From ungodly influences to a culture that rejects biblical leadership, Christian men are facing a crisis like never before. This is not just a social problem—it’s a spiritual battle. And it’s time we fought back.
The Attack of Ungodly Women
The enemy has long used deception to pull men away from their purpose. One of the biggest weapons he uses is ungodly women—those who reject God’s design for relationships and seek to manipulate, control, and destroy the leadership of men. Just as Samson fell to Delilah and Adam heeded Eve’s voice instead of God’s, men today are being lured into traps that strip them of their strength and calling.
Men, we must be discerning. Proverbs 7 warns of the woman with a “smooth tongue” who leads men to destruction. Not every woman who smiles at you is from God. Some are sent by the enemy to weaken your faith, drain your resources, and derail your destiny. Godly men must learn to recognize these spiritual attacks and stand firm in righteousness.
Our Manhood Is in Danger
Manhood is under siege. The culture promotes passivity, feminization, and the idea that a strong, biblical man is toxic. They tell us that being the head of the household is oppressive and that leading our families with strength and love is outdated. But God’s Word has not changed.
Ephesians 5:23 declares that “the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church.” That is not a position to be ashamed of—it’s a calling to embrace! When men abandon their roles, families fall apart. Children grow up without direction, and society crumbles. We are seeing the effects of manhood being stripped away, and they are devastating.
Man Up—Step Up
The time for excuses is over. Godly men must rise up and reclaim their role. Here’s how:
- Get Rooted in the Word – A man who does not know the Word of God cannot lead his home in righteousness. Spend time in Scripture daily, seeking wisdom and strength.
- Pray for Discernment – Not every woman or opportunity is from God. Pray for wisdom in all your relationships, business decisions, and leadership choices. Don’t let emotions or desires cloud your judgment.
- Lead Your Household – Take responsibility for your family. Love your wife as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25). Teach your children the ways of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6). Be the spiritual covering your home needs.
- Surround Yourself with Godly Men – Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). If you are constantly surrounded by weak, ungodly men, you will become one. Seek out strong, Bible-believing brothers who will hold you accountable.
- Reject the Lies of the Culture – The world’s definition of manhood is broken. A real man is not defined by money, muscles, or power but by his obedience to God, his integrity, and his ability to love and lead.
The Battle Is On
Men, we are at war, not with women, not with society, but with the spiritual forces that seek to destroy what God has ordained. The enemy knows that if he can take out the man, he can take out the home, the church, and the future generations.
But we are not powerless! God has given us His Spirit, His Word, and His authority to stand firm. This is our time to rise. This is our time to fight. This is our time to be men.
